Sadness

Cocoa has managed to kill a baby bunny...I believe she was trying to bring it in the house to mother, but crushed it in the process. She was out last night and wouldn't come when I called, so I went to find her....she came awkwardly around the corner with something in her mouth that she could barely hold. I told her to drop it, but it was limp when I picked it up, and with a tiny sigh it was gone.
Poor Cocoa was in disgrace, I swatted her with the flyswatter while I held the body to her face, then sent her to the bathroom for the night.

I think she must have crushed it trying to jump back out of the bunny cage with it, she would have had to grip it tightly since she is so small.
