About moving to town. We're not really "in town", but we're inside city limits. Sort of like an invisible fence.
One thing I hadn't expected, more varmints, and they're not afraid of humans. We've seen fox, coon, possums, quite a few deer, and what seems like hundreds of rabbits. There do seem to be fewer rabbits as the summer goes on, thankfully.
I keep the chickens locked up tight once it gets dark, don't want a coon getting in their little coop and killing them all off.
It is quieter at night, away from the interstate, and I like that. I can lie awake and only hear the occasional vehicle, usually a truck headed south, and wonder where they're going and why. Before, there was no question where they were going--either east or west, and all at 75 miles an hour.
