An interesting observation about my brain today--it is very much a creature of habit.  I was working on singles of something I always make in pairs, and I was profoundly uneasy the whole time, and couldn't say why.  It made sense when I figured it out---I wasn't having to leave the trail of breadcrumbs that I usually do to make sure two pieces match.  I do little tricks of lining up two dots of a three dot flower with the long side of the piece, for instance.
It's a lot like finding a place for the first time, it always takes longer to get there than to get back, except in this case I wasn't coming back. It was surprising that it was that noticeable though.
